About Rav Reuven

Rav Reuven is a longtime student of Torah, having learned for four years in Yeshivat Binyan Oilam, two years in Yeshivat Mehorot Hatora, one year in Kollel Shvut Ami, and three years in Kollel Ohel Shimon. He also has a three year broadcasting and journalism degree from I.S.E.R., Argentina.

Rav Reuven taught Gemara at Aish HaTorah for 16 years, during which he interacted with hundreds of young people to strengthen their Judaism, while he simultaneously served for a few years as part of the TaShema team of translators, translating the Talmud from Hebrew and Aramaic into Spanish, also serving for three years as Director of online platform connecting dozens of teachers with young Jews for private Torah lessons, as well as being involved in a variety of kiruv efforts, including his own Ruben TV page on Facebook, which currently has over 10K followers, and also writing weekly divrei Torah in Spanish, which are read by many. He is also a singer and composer, and performs chesed activities, singing and cheering up the sick in hospitals, visiting IDF soldiers on military bases, and other activities.

Throughout his many years of service of the Jewish community, Rav Reuven has been consistently recognized for the great enthusiasm and energy that he brings to shining the light of Torah Judaism in a way that is relatable and easy to understand, endearing himself to all.

With such a background, and being fluent in Hebrew, English, Spanish, and Portugese, Rav Reuven is a valued member of the Diaspora Yeshiva Toras Yisrael team, serving primarily as Spanish Program and Kiruv Coordinator, and as such has also been working tirelessly to reach out to, comfort, and encourage those who have suffered as a result of October 7th Chamas attack on the border of Gaza and its aftermath.
