April 14th, 2026 / 26th of Nissan, 5786

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our dear teacher and Rabbi, a man of great deed and spirit, who devoted his life to Torah, to HaShem, and to the people around him. Warm-hearted and deeply understanding, he touched many lives and labored in Torah all his days. He was a steadfast pillar of support for the Yeshiva and its Torah institutions, standing faithfully at the side of our teacher and Rabbi, the Rosh Yeshiva, ztz”l, through every challenge, helping to build a world of repentance in the Holy Land. In his lifetime, we were privileged to witness the fruits of his work, as many students were nurtured and engaged in Torah and mitzvos through his influence.
The esteemed Rabbi Shabtai Beinush Herman, ztz”l
ben Rabbi Moshe, ztz”l
He served as director of our Yeshiva for 40 years, guided us with strength and devotion through every personal and communal trial, and worked tirelessly on behalf of the downtrodden and rejected, with sensitivity and responsibility for all the Yeshiva’s institutions and for the preservation of the Jewish presence on Mount Zion.
The funeral will take place today, Tuesday, the 26th Nisan 5786, at 4:00 PM, departing from the Sanhedria Funeral Home to Har HaZeisim.
A special gathering for the elevation of his soul will be held, and our Torah study will be dedicated in his memory, at Yeshivat Ohr Dali in Rosh HaAyin.
May we be comforted with the rebuilding of Yerushalayim, and with the continued strength of our teacher, the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yitzchak Goldshtein, may he live and be well, together with all the honored members of the family, foremost among them his distinguished widow.
May the Omnipresent comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem, and may you know no more sorrow.
