Every year, I think about what stood out to me about the Rosh Yeshiva, ZTK’L (RYZTK’L). The goal of the RYTZK’L was to change the individual and the world’s view of Torah and how it can be relied upon to affect world change. Now more than ever with the rise in antisemitism all over the world, the Rosh Yeshiva’s passion to bring all the Jews back to The Land of Israel really resonates with me. Even more so, once a Jew is here that he must stay. So much so, that the RYZTK’L, was known to withhold passports of students and tear plane tickets.

 

Though things may look bleak at times, we must know that the Beloved Nation will live for Eternity in The Land of Israel. Why? Because the Name of GD is Everlasting and anything connected to such is as well. A name has a meaning. The Name is on the Beloved Nation, individuals may go, but the Beloved Nation will never cease. Nor will The Land of Israel or the Torah because GD’s Name is connected with them. Thus, we must take care of the Torah, value The Land of Israel, and unite together in love and joy knowing and praising GD. Thus, we will be worthy to be called His Nation, His Beloved Nation. If we do not, GD forbid, as we are seeing these days tragedies occuring. However, know because The Name of GD is forever, so will the Beloved Nation live forever and we will be established in The Land of Israel. We can rely on such because GD’s Name is eternal, nitzki.

 

Why living in The Land of Israel was so important to the RYZTK’L? Because the RYZTK’L wanted his students to reach their greatest potential. The RYZTK’L demanded his students to change, to grow, and to become complete; whole (Shelamos HaAdom). That being the case the RYZTK’L, modeling Abraham Avinu, one of his role models, understood that for the Jew, The Land of Israel is the only place conducive to spiritual growth. The RYZTK’L knew very well that the quality of living in Israel was not up to the standards of the Americans students, yet always seeing the good, the RYZTK’L, saw it as the necessary step of trading in the material luxuries to pursue spirituality, the Path of the Just, and gain eternity (Nitzki). I hear the RYZTK’L saying GD is good, GD always does good for you for this world and the next. GD loves you, GD values you, GD gives you your worth, and GD loves you here in the Land of Israel. It is GD’s love that brought you here from Seattle. Also proof of the truth of the Torah and Prophet This gives me resolve, stability, and security to stay, to never go back, to grow, to move forward and be a Jew, part of the Beloved Nation in The Land of OUR INHERITANCE, Israel.

 

Know! GD relates with the world. However, GD has an intimate relationship (Hashcha Pratit) with each Jew, with the Beloved Nation, and with The Land of Israel. We must establish an intimate relationship with GD. A dance of intimacy with the Infinite. How? By knowing GD’s Name. How? By knowing the ways of GD. Through toiling in GD’s Wisdom, the Torah, and knowing GD’s ways, actions and functions. Knowing that GD is Eternal (Nitzki). Therefore, anything connected with GD’s Name is eternal. GD’s Name is associated with the Torah, with the Beloved Nation, and The Land of Israel. We are Eternal, we will survive, the Torah will survive and The Land of Israel will be established. This is our greatest security and can be relied upon. In GD we trust.

 

We must appreciate The Land of Israel. The Land has Holiness (Kedusha). It will always have Kedusha it has that power; it is there; we must actualize it and apply it. A majority of the nations want to destroy Israel. They thought they could disperse us, take over The Land, and destroy us. They were wrong and they will end up being destroyed, measure for measure, like the Nazis, the Greeks, the Babylons, the Egyptian, etc. The greatness of the Beloved Nation is the value of life and each one represents a different aspect of GD. Other nations glorify death. We see it clearly now a days, the rest of the world seeks to destroy us, yet we are coming back to The Land of Israel. Their obsession drives them to act in the most irrational and hypocritical ways. Some kill in the name of a false god, in hopes of ridding the world of the Jews, of The Land of GD and of the Living GD. GD Forbid!

 

Know! Israel is eternal and the Kedusha is always there. We must know and understand that and come back to The Land of Israel and realize it. Doing such will ignite the dormant Kedusha in The Land of Israel. Know! Once a Jew, always a Jew. The Torah is eternal, the Beloved Nation is eternal, and The Land of Israel is eternal. We must internalize this and anchor the feelings of stability and security. Israel will never be destroyed. There is the power of eternity and with such we must work to be worthy to get the 3rd Temple. Individually, a person is worthy by becoming complete and a whole in the body and the soul. How? By being holy in Torah study. GD demands lots from us, we must push our self to the Nth degree. One can only be satisfied when he pushes himself to the complete end. The Truth. Doing so we gain eternity. We have to know we all belong to an Eternal thing, GD. GD gives that to us and give us that security to make a man to change his mind about Torah and The Land of Israel. Move forward. Change. Grow. Bring back Kedusha thorough dedication with self-sacrifice (Mesirat Nefesh) to Torah. Glorify GD. Praise GD. Sing to GD. Publicize GD’s Miracles. Simply, Know GD. Praise GD. Value Eternity. Value Kedusha. Value Torah. Value The Land of Israel.
